Formnext Forum Tokyo prepares for physical show in September 2021!

14 Apr 2021

Formnext Forum Tokyo has opened the exhibitor registration for its upcoming 2021 event, to be held from 28 – 29 September at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, Hamamatsucho Hall. As a sister event of Formnext, the international trade show dedicated to additive manufacturing in Frankfurt, Germany, Formnext Forum Tokyo combines product showcasing with specialist seminars covering additive manufacturing (AM) across various Japanese user industries. The event has gradually expanded in scale since its launch in 2019, becoming well-known as a forum for business exchange and networking opportunities, where the next generation of intelligent industrial production comes together.

Despite being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition welcomed 29 exhibitors and 710 visitors, with many exhibitors commending the event for bringing the industry closer together during a difficult time. "Most of the trade visitors here have come with a clear purpose and a strong desire to establish a business relationship,” commented Mr Hiroshi Takahara of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries machine Tool Co Ltd. Even though the pandemic has made online meetings more common, most exhibitors at last year’s edition realised the value of face to face meetings. Similarly, many visitors were pleased to have an opportunity to discuss details while actually touching their products of interest.

The 2021 edition will invite renowned lecturers from Japan and overseas to conduct seminars relevant to a wide range of AM industry visitors. With the business community facing its greatest challenge in recent years, Formnext Forum Tokyo 2021 will create opportunities to cultivate new markets and invigorate industry players to listen to the voices of customers in person rather than online.

The 2021 edition will see experts converge from a wide range of industry sectors, including:
·         Automation and Handling
·         Automotive, Aviation and Aerospace
·         Construction and Architecture
·         Consumer Health Care
·         Dental Technology
·         Medical Technology
·         Electronic Engineering
·         Electronics and Domestic Appliances
·         Mechanical Engineering and Plant Engineering
·         Packaging
·         Research and Development
·         Watches and Jewellery and many more

On the exhibition floor, items related to the complex, multifaceted world of additive manufacturing across the entire range of materials and processes will be displayed, including polymers, metals and other manufacturing materials, as well as every step along the process chains in state-of-the-art industrial production right up to series production.

To ensure a safe business environment for participants, the organiser, Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd, will put all of the appropriate safety and hygiene measures in place to protect participants during the duration of the fair, and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Formnext Forum Tokyo is organised by Messe Frankfurt Japan Ltd and forms a part of a series of international events including:
