For the upcoming, rebranded edition of Formnext Asia Tokyo Forum, there will be several features adding to the event’s relevance to the sector.
In addition to exhibition space, several insightful seminars will take place, such as the organisers' special seminar featuring industry leaders, as well as exhibitor presentations providing the latest AM information. An exhibition area called ‘Academic’ will also be set up, dedicated to professors and university students to introduce research results relating to new AM technologies and new materials. Within the area, academics can speak directly to user companies about their ongoing research.
At the previous edition, participants across the event gave positive feedback. An exhibitor since 2023, Ms Yui Izawa of YOKOITO INC., said: “The aim of our participation is to raise the profile of post-processing machines and to meet the demand for an industrial process. We met high-profile visitors who have clear goals and are aware of the problems they face in surface treatment. We hope to continue exhibiting, not only in post-treatment but also in AM-related fields, next year and in subsequent years.”
Mr Masaki Nakajima of Asahi Kasei Corporation, a first-time exhibitor, said: “On the first day, we were able to talk to visitors from the aerospace and automotive industries, which we had targeted; as a result, we exchanged business cards with over 80 companies in one day. We would like to continue exhibiting at this event as its visitors are in line with the customers with which we are looking to connect.”
Mr Natsumi Hosobuchi of Castec Inc., visiting the exhibition for the third consecutive year, commented: “Every time we come to this exhibition, we can interact with the latest products and technologies, and we are likely to find information that will solve our company's problems.”
