Formnext Forum Tokyo unveils educational agenda as exhibitor numbers rise

The sister event of the internationally-renowned Formnext in Frankfurt, opens its doors from 28 – 29 September 2023 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center, HAMAMATSUCHO-KAN. Headlined this year by topics such as ultra-fast 3D metal printing, the event consists of seminars and an exhibition focusing on additive manufacturing (AM) technology and the related process chain(s).. As of the end of August, 67 exhibitors (2022: 65) including 19 first-time participants, have already confirmed their attendance. Following the easing of pandemic restrictions, visitor numbers are also expected rise to 1,500 (up from 1,180 in 2022), as the event continues to serve as a leading platform in Japan.

Wide variety of special seminars and industrial forums cover the latest trends
Eight ‘Special seminars’ covering a wide array of topics, from academic fields to the latest trends and technologies will be held over the course of the two-day event. Each seminar will not only provide relevant industry knowledge, but also offer ample business and networking opportunities. All seminars are free of charge, and some are open for pre-registration via the official website. Some highlights include:

An industrial forum sponsored by the Japanese Society of Additive Manufacturing and the Japan 3D printing Industrial Technology Association is also on the agenda. Focusing on both technical advances and business opportunities, the forum will cover a wide range of topics relevant to Japan as well as to overseas players.

Held annually, Formnext Forum Tokyo attracts the entire spectrum of AM stakeholders. The event covers an array of advanced technology and all of the upstream and downstream AM processes and equipment, including materials, powder metallurgy, design, software, and post-processing technologies.
